"Pianist" is a melodrama in which "Yoon Insa (Han Jihye)", an elementary school non-tenured music teacher who, once a promising piano student, had to give up on her dream due to domestic circumstances, meets "Oh Jero", a boy without any dream, who had never had a chance to learn piano due to his unhappy childhood and is now working as a tuner in a piano factory -- a story of two people getting healed by sharing each other's lost dreams, hope and sufferings through their common topic, piano.
