After the broadcast, keywords like "Prime Minister and I OST" and "Taemin OST" rose to the top of several portal site search ranks, confirming the hot response from the viewers.
Taemin's "Footsteps" is a modern rock song with a warm yet bright acoustic sound. It goes well with the warm and pleasant story of "Prime Minister and I" and it has caught the eyes and ears of viewers. Taemin's beautiful, sweet voice with Kim Jungbae's simple composition create a dynamic synergy for "Footsteps" which has memorable lyrics.
The song first played during the scene when Kwonyul(Lee Bumsoo) proposed to Dajung(Yoona) which grabbed the audience's attention. It also played at the end of the 4th episode during Dajung and Kwonyul's mouth block kiss.
