[NEWS] Jonghyun takes part in SM the Ballad's second album, 'Breath'

SM Entertainments project group, SM the Ballad, will return with their second album Breath on the 13th.

The original group consisted of Super Juniors Kyuhyun, TRAXs Jay, SHINees Jonghyun, and Jino, debuted back in November of 2010. After three years, the group will make a return with a new line-up of TVXQs Changmin, Super Juniors Yesung, Girls Generations Taeyeon, f(x)s Krystal, EXO-Ms Chen, Super Junior-Ms Zhoumi, Zhang Liyin, and Jonghyun as the only returning member.

There are six songs in Breath, all revolving around the theme of farewell. The album starts with the intro Dear... and leads into the title track Breath, which is about a man and woman immediately after their breakup. I Was Greedy (Blind) is about the mans perspective, while the following track Set Me Free is from the womans perspective as sung by Taeyeon. Jonghyun and Chen paired up for One Day, a song about a changed daily life after the breakup.

Good Thing, Bad Thing (When I Was When U Were) is a duet by Krystal and Chen. The song was made with the conversation between the parted couple, after they meet again by chance and reminisce the days when they loved each other.

Two out of the songs will have three versions in different languages. For the title track "Breath", Taeyeon and Jonghyun sang the Korean version, Zhang Liyin and Chen sang the Chinese version, and Changmin and Krystal sang the Japanese version. "I Was Greedy (Blind)" is sung in Korean and Japanese by Yesung, which he recorded before he left for the army. Zhoumi will sing the Chinese version.

With all of songs on the album interrelating and eight great vocalists coming together to relay the effects of a breakup, SM the Ballad is expected to generate an explosive response from fans.

[NEWS] SM the Ballad's Taeyeon and Jonghyun’s version of “Breath” to be released on Feb 10th

SM Entertainment’s project group, SM the Ballad, announced its return with a new line-up for February. They will take a unique approach by releasing a new song every day for four days. Fans will be able to download and stream the songs on Melon, Olleh Music, Genie, and various music sites starting on the 10th.

The first song to be released will be Girls’ Generation's Taeyeon and SHINee's Jonghyun’s duet for the Korean title track, “Breath”. On the 11th, Jonghyun and EXO's Chen’s “One Day” will be released, followed by Taeyeon’s solo, “I Was Greedy” on the 12th. The rest of the songs from the album will all be released on the 13th.

Taeyeon and Jonghyun are scheduled to start off promotions for “Breath” on the 13th through Mnet’s “M!Countdown” and appear on other music programs throughout the week.

[NEWS] SME HAS ANNOUNCED A NEW BOY BAND

SM Entertainment has announced that a new boy band named “M1” will be debuting in March or April 2011. When fans heard this news, they immediately connected the name to the “female Girls’ Generation” that SM had been preparing.

The nine-member boy band had been dubbed “So Nyun Chun Ji,” or “Boys’ Land.” The rumored members of SNCJ include Jino, who already debuted through SM the Ballad.

[INFO]The true long story of 3 years behind SM The Ballad Song - Miss You

Now I can finally say this…Since promotional activities are over…This can be considered as the heartbreaking love story behind ‘Miss You’…

The fans of TRAX, Super Junior and SHINee should all be familiar with the song ‘Miss You’. Even if they have never heard of it they should have also seen the song title before…

Actually, this owner of this song was originally SHINee.

When SHINee’s group name was still undecided, Jinki and Jonghyun had already recorded the song in duet style, there was intention to include the song in the debut album… At that time, there was a prelude which included Minho-goon’s soft rap…An attractive baritone rape… @____@

But because it was incompatible with the album’s image, there were plans to release it as a single instead…

But there was yet another change in plan, and the decision was to have Dong Bang Shin Ki’s Xiah Junsu, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and SHINee’s Jonghyun to perform it as a trio… (Kyuhyun-goon recorded this song before Super Junior-M’s ‘Better Tomorrow’)

Everyone worked hard to finish recording~And….The trio’s voices blended really well~Attractive attractive~

BUT!! With just 2 months before the album was to be released, Junsu released the declaration to break away from the group…

So there was a long waiting time again, and new members Jay and Jino were included to perform… This is ‘Miss You’

This was released only after a really very long journey. The length of 3 years…

Am grateful that it can be born successfully… ‘Where It Began’ (This song was originally titled ‘Where It Began’)

I will often open up and listen.

‘Where It Began’ sang by Jinki and Jonghyun…

‘Where It Began’ sang by Kyuhyun, Jonghyun and Junsu….

Even though it’s a pity that these versions are for my appreciation only, but it’s because of these various reasons that I am able to meet Jino, it was a very enjouable experience.^^

P.S I remember what Jino said to me during recording.

Me: Why are you always smiling?

Jino: Everyone is already very tired from recording so all the more I should smile ^^

Kind fellow…Hope you won’t change and continue to keep your heart and that kindness, spend everyday happily like your Kyuhyun-hyung and Jonghyun-hyung and continue your singing career charismatically~~

*Note: The original title of the song is likely not ‘Where It Began’. I was kind of unsure how I should translate it because the Chinese translation given is ‘Original Place’, which I feel is kind of unfitting given the nature of the song. But if I am not wrong, the original title holds the meaning of a place where everything started. Maybe someone who can read Korean can help with this.

Time flies.... If you did not notice, it has already been 1 Month since SM The Ballad has debuted.
Today is their 1 Month Anniversary.

Balladears(not official fanclub name) are trending #1MonthSMTB on Twitter to congratulate SM The Ballad on their 1 Month Anniversary and are very glad that they've come so far.

If you didn't know, SM The Ballad is the first ballad group formed by SM Entertainment, consisting of all members from SM Entertainment, Jay(Trax), Kyuhyun(Super Junior), Jonghyun(SHINee) & a new rookie Jino.

I shall introduce no further, It's their first month since debut today, so let's reminisce the 2 MVs that they have produced so far.
